A manicure is a beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands performed at home or in a salon. This treatment consists of filing and shaping the free edge of nails, pushing and clipping unwanted tissue, treatments with various liquids, massage of the hand, and the application of fingernail polish. When the similar is applied to the toenails and feet, the treatment is known to be a pedicure. Most of the nail polish can stay on nails for 2–3 days before another manicure, if there is no deliberate damage to it.

Manicure cleans our nails. We use our hands for everything, making them the most exposed parts of our body, to dust and dirt. It nourish your cuticles. This process improve your blood circulation. Manicures help you to relax. It make hands soft.
BASIC MANICURE KIT: MANICURE AT HOME
Cotton swabs or pads.
Emery board and nail buffer.
Cuticle pusher and nippers.
STEP OF MANICURE AT HOME:
1.REMOVE NAIL PAINT
First of all remove nail paint from the cuticle and nail plate. Nail paint is used to decorate the fingers but while cleaning up nail paint should be removed properly so that nails can get polished and clean.
2.SOAK THE HANDS
Take luke warm water. Add shampoo, salt and lemon in the water. Dip your hands into the water for at least 5-10 minutes.
Luke warm water helps in relaxing the hand. And warm water is always good for body and health.
Shampoo will remove the dirt from the hands and make them soft for the next step.
Salt and lemon are used in manicure because they both help in removing dead skin. Lemon removes stains and yellowing from the nails.
After soaking, wash your hands and dry them with a clean towel.
3 TRIM NAILS
Third step is to trim the nails. After soaking nails become soft and are easy to cut them or trim them.
Scrub lightens up the skin tone of hands and removes the dead skin.
Take crushed red lentils (masoor dal). Rub it by using tomato (half pieced). Do proper scrub from hands to elbow. After doing scrub leave it for 2 minutes. Later wash your hands properly.
Massaging cream is used to provide nourishment and glow to the skin/ hands.
Take gram flour (besan). Add milk and lemon. Mix it properly and apply it from hands to elbow. Do proper massage for atleast 2-3 minutes.
After massage leave it as it is for 2 minutes and later wash it. Dry your hands with clean towel and apply any body lotion.
After this, you can decorate your hands with nail paints, rings, etc.
